Qualifications

• Doctor of Pharmacy Degree (PharmD) Pharmacist License with the Texas State Board of Pharmacy (TSBP) in good standing is required.
• Specialized Board of Pharmacy (BPS) Certification is required within three (3) years.
• Successful completion of a PGY1 or PGY2 pharmacy residency program required.
• In lieu of a residency, candidates may qualify with BPS and/or 3 years of relevant clinical pharmacy experience.
• Ability to set priorities, make critical decisions, and respond quickly to emergency requests, communicate effectively, and work independently.
• Must be able to handle frequent interruptions and adapt to changes in workload and work schedule.
• Knowledge of state/federal laws and regulations.
• Uses effective communication when interacting with co-workers and other professionals across the hospital's disciplines.
• Must demonstrate the ability to effectively participate on interdisciplinary teams and committees.
• Must demonstrate ability to prioritize workload as well as flexibility.
• Follows Just Culture principles to ensure just assessment of individual acts.
