The Radiation Therapist is responsible for accurately administering and recording radiation therapy treatments under the guidance of a radiation oncologist and chief therapist, ensuring precise beam positioning relative to the tumor volume. Essential duties also include maintaining patient records, participating in instruction, and preparing necessary treatment aids like molds and blocks.
Applicants must be graduates of an accredited radiation therapy technology program and hold current ARRT certification along with a valid state radiation therapy license. Experience requirements vary by title, ranging from 0-3 years for RTT I up to 5+ years for Senior RTT.
Graduate of an accredited radiation therapy technology program. ARRT certification required. Must hold valid state license for radiation therapy. Radiation Therapist I : requires 0-3 years experience actively practicing as an RTT. Radiation Therapist II : requires 3-5 years of experience actively practicing as an RTT. Senior Radiation Therapist : requires 5+ years of experience actively practicing as an RTT.
