Nurse Practitioners are responsible for exemplary patient primary health care and continuity of medical services under the direction of supervising physicians. Responsibilities will vary by position and specialty, requiring accessibility to physicians, staff, and supervisors.
Applicants must hold a Master’s degree from an accredited NP program and be a certified NP (ACNP) with current Ohio licensure and a Certificate to Prescribe. A minimum of five years of experience as a Registered Nurse in an acute care facility is required, with NP/ACNP and critical care experience preferred.

Certificate to Prescribe must be current and maintained at all times. Applicants must have a minimum of five years of experience as a Registered Nurse in an acute care facility; 1 year experience as a NP/ACNP preferred; and experience as a critical care nurse is preferred. Evidence of malpractice insurance must be provided as part of the application process. A thorough understanding of HIPAA law is required and professional discretion must be demonstrated at all times. Applicant must have excellent oral and written communication skills. Excellent communication skills with both patients and colleagues are essential. Computer literacy is required and must include Excel, Word and Outlook, and Electronic Medical Records experience is an advantage, preferably EPIC.
