Registered Nurses are primarily accountable for nursing coordination and providing individualized care to patients of all ages, utilizing delegation and critical thinking skills in a collaborative team approach. Responsibilities include assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care to achieve optimal outcomes, alongside accurate medication administration and patient education.
Candidates must be a graduate of an accredited professional nursing school or an approved program eligible for the Virginia licensure exam, and currently hold or be eligible for a Registered Nurse license in Virginia. Required certifications include AHA BLS-HCP, and computer skills for electronic medical records like EPIC are mandatory.
