The Certified Nursing Assistant is responsible for providing personal care services to terminally ill patients according to the Hospice Aide Plan of Care, as directed by the RN Case Manager. This includes assisting with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), documenting care provided, and promptly reporting any changes in the patient's condition to the RN Case Manager.
Candidates must possess a high school diploma or GED and hold the required state CNA certification (Missouri or Kansas) along with current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Preferred experience includes two years as a CNA, with at least one year in Hospice care, and the ability to meet physical demands including lifting up to 75 lbs occasionally.
Responsible for providing personal care service to the terminally ill patient and performs related tasks in accordance with the Hospice Aide Plan of Care as assigned and delegated by the RN Case Manager. Supportive of the Village’s mission, values, and service/hospitality (PRIDE) expectations. Completes training as required by policy.
The responsibilities described above represent the primary responsibilities of the job. Other responsibilities may be assigned by the supervisor as warranted by business needs. The incumbent is expected to perform all assigned responsibilities.
• This job requires a combination of education, training and/or experience that would typically be acquired through a course of study leading to a high school diploma or GED.
