The Licensed Practical Nurse must verify the plan of care with the RN before each visit and collaborate frequently with the physician and RN to ensure patient needs are met, notifying them of condition changes promptly. Responsibilities also include teaching self-care techniques, checking vital signs, performing medication reconciliation, executing physician-ordered procedures, preparing treatment materials using aseptic technique, and completing timely and accurate documentation.
Candidates must possess at least one year of clinical LPN experience and hold a current LPN license specific to the assigned state(s) of work. A current CPR certification, a valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and liability insurance are also mandatory qualifications.
