The Medical Office Assistant will manage patient care activities, including rooming patients, taking histories, obtaining vitals, and assisting providers during examinations and procedures. This role also involves clerical functions such as scheduling, insurance verification, answering phones, and maintaining organized exam rooms.
Candidates must possess a high school diploma and a diploma from an accredited Medical Assisting technical school, along with required certification, including current CPR. Preferred qualifications include at least one year of Medical Assistant experience in a medical office setting, along with strong interpersonal skills for handling sensitive patient interactions.

Key Responsibilities Room patients and prepare them for appointments Record medical histories, vital signs, and patient information in the EHR Assist providers during exams and in-office procedures Administer injections, perform EKGs, provide wound care, and conduct in-office testing as needed Maintain clean, organized, and fully stocked exam rooms and clinical equipment Schedule appointments, provide financial counseling, and verify insurance information Answer and triage calls, assist with referrals, and ensure timely follow-up Perform clerical tasks, including processing paperwork, verifying patient information, and managing electronic files in AthenaClinicals What We Are Looking For
High school diploma or equivalent required Accredited Medical Assisting program graduate preferred At least 1 year of Medical Assistant experience in a clinic or medical office experience preferred Current MA certification or equivalent experience required; CPR certification required within two weeks of hire Additional Requirements Ability to follow directions, manage time, and work effectively under pressure Strong communication and interpersonal skills with professionalism, empathy, and discretion Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs. frequently Ability to meet the physical demands of a busy clinical environment If you’re a motivated healthcare professional who enjoys helping patients and thrives in a collaborative clinical environment, we’d love to connect with you.
