Starlight Behavioral Health is hiring a Caregiver / Direct Support Professional (DSP) in Huntington, West Virginia to support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their behavioral health needs. This role is a strong fit for experienced DSPs, caregivers, CNAs, HHAs, PCAs, home health workers, and other direct care professionals looking to continue their work in a meaningful, person-centered setting. • Professional (DSP), you will: Provide daily, individualized care focused on client safety, health, and well-being Assist with personal care, including hygiene, grooming, feeding, and mobility Help with daily living tasks such as cooking, cleaning, and routine support Follow each client’s Individualized Program Plan (IPP) and behavior support plan Support clients in building independence, daily living skills, and social skills Transport clients to appointments, shopping, and community outings Complete daily documentation and incident reports accurately and on time Respond to crisis situations and emergencies with professionalism and empathy Support clients with communication needs, including adaptive communication tools when needed Why Join Starlight Behavioral Health Predictable set weekly schedule Paid training provided Full-time schedule with 12-hour shifts Consistent 3-day work week Meaningful work that makes a daily impact Supportive team environment Opportunities for growth and career development Competitive benefits package Qualifications Must be 18 years of age or older Valid driver’s license required Ability to pass a WV Cares Federal Background Check Reliable vehicle required for day shift employees Ability to work scheduled 12-hour shifts Experience in direct care, caregiving, home health, behavioral health, or related support roles is helpful, but not required.
