The Direct Care Technician is responsible for providing and maintaining a therapeutic and safe group environment while attending to the welfare and basic needs of clients in the facility-based clinic. This role includes providing informal counseling utilizing behavioral techniques, reality therapy, supportive encouragement, and socialization skills for clients in the detox center.
Candidates must possess a high school diploma or GED and maintain a valid state-appropriate driver’s license with auto insurance for utilizing personal and agency vehicles. Peer support certification is a plus but not required, and entry-level candidates are encouraged to apply as on-the-job training is provided.
