The Registered Nurse contributes professional nursing knowledge and skills to patient care management by applying the nursing process, which includes assessment, individualized plan development, intervention, and ongoing evaluation of patient progress toward expected outcomes. Responsibilities also focus on clinical excellence, utilizing evidence-based practice, technical equipment knowledge, and promoting professional development within the team.
Candidates must possess a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing and maintain licensure as a Registered Professional Nurse in Illinois, along with required certifications including ACLS within one year and BLS within 30 days from the American Heart Association. Experience as a Registered Nurse is required, involving complex patient management and consistent prioritization based on changing patient conditions.
As a member of the interdisciplinary team, contributes professional nursing knowledge and skills in the provision and management of care to patients through the application of the nursing process.
