The Pharmacy Technician will assist in medication distribution, inventory management, and patient support while collaborating with pharmacists and healthcare professionals. Key tasks include filling automated dispensing machines, delivering medications, and ensuring accurate billing.
Candidates must possess an active licensure as a Certified Pharmacy Technician in Montana and have strong organizational skills. Proficiency in medical terminology and prior experience with pharmacy systems is preferred.
Qualifies for the Montana Board of Pharmacy Technician application, required. Possess an active licensure with the Montana Board of Pharmacy as a Certified Pharmacy Technician in good standing. We are only considering licensed experienced Pharmacy Technician applicants at this location. RQI Responder Certification obtained within 7 days of hire/transfer or before independent patient care, whichever comes first, required. Prior experience in Pharmacy Systems preferred. Possess and maintain computer skills to include working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn other software as needed. Job Specific Duties: Understands and completes all aspects of medication distribution from the pharmacy and delivers medications in an efficient manner. Promptly and efficiently answers telephone calls, responds to inquiries and routes appropriately as needed. Performs all tasks associated with maintaining the pharmacy inventory. This includes, but is not limited to: Receiving and shelving medications. Documents and communicates drug shortages. Monitors the pharmacy inventory for outdated medications and disposes according to current policy. Exhibits a working knowledge of all pharmacy computer systems. Data entry, claims billing, filling prescriptions, and cashiering. Participates in quality assessment and improvement projects. Maintains a neat and orderly environment. This includes, but is not limited to: Cleaning duties. Medication disposal Trash disposal Stocking supplies Actively continues education to keep abreast of Pharmacy law and to maintain current licensure.
