Sentara Heart Hospital in Norfolk, Virginia is seeking an Echocardiographer to join the Non-invasive Lab Team!
Shift:
Full-Time - 8 hour shifts from 7:00am to 3:30pm. Call Required.
Position
Overview: Unit has 5 rooms for Echos. Echocardiographer will perform Echo and Stress Echo tests, Transesophageal (TEE) Echocardiogram, and Doppler ultrasound. Echocardiographer will work in Cardiac Non-Invasive Lab, EP and Cath Lab, OR, ICU and will also work with patients at the bedside. Performs two dimensional echocardiograms, Doppler echocardiograms, transesophageal echocardiograms, exercise and pharmacological stress echocardiograms to evaluate heart and vessel abnormalities for the evaluation of heart disease and blood flow abnormalities. Completes the technologist report in the structured report application. Provides leadership to support department with respect to staffing schedule, accreditation, staff education or other duties as defined by management. Supports Cardiac Operating Room Echocardiogram needs. Candidates must have at least one of the four certifications, Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer, Registered Congenital Cardiac Sonographer, Registered Cardiac Sonographer, or Advanced Cardiac Sonographer. Graduate of an accredited echocardiography program or equivalent education in accordance with IAC Guidelines.
