The role also involves observing residents' skin, meeting their mental health needs, and maintaining their immediate environment.
Candidates must be state tested, have a recent nurse aide training completion certificate, or be willing to train for the role. Previous experience in direct care services is preferred, and a high school diploma or GED is preferred but not strictly required.

Measure and record height and weight, intake, and output. Care for the residents’ environment. Assist with bathing, grooming and toileting. Assist with eating and hydration. Observe residents’ skin when administering care and reports changes to licensed nurse; provide skin care as needed. Meet residents’ mental health and social service needs. Change linens on residents’ bed. Assist in passing out fresh ice water to residents. QualificationsSTNA Qualifications: Must be state tested, have recent nurse aide training completion certificate, or be willing to train. Previous experience working in direct care services preferred.
