The technologist performs ultrasound studies accurately and efficiently following established protocols, preparing reports and ensuring quality images for physician interpretation. This role also involves providing age-appropriate care, maintaining patient safety, and assisting with regulatory compliance and equipment quality control.
A minimum requirement is an Associate's degree in Ultrasound or higher, along with mandatory registration as a Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) and Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT), credentialed in Abdomen (AB) and OB/GYN. Preferred qualifications include two years of clinical experience post-graduation.
Required Education and Experience Associates degree from a two-year college or technical school in Ultrasound or higher Required License/Certifications/Registrations Must be a Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS). Must be a Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT), (VS) Vascular Sonography Must be credentialed in Abdomen (AB) and OB/GYN. Current BLS card within 30 days of hire or by the end of orientation, whichever comes first. Acceptable courses are American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross.

Strong skills in using software such as Excel, Word, EMR Systems, etc. Medical terminology.
