The Nurse Practitioner provides primary care in collaboration with physicians for oncology patients, encompassing roles as an expert practitioner, educator, care manager, consultant, researcher, and leader. Key duties include assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care, initiating interventions, and prescribing therapies per protocol.
A Master's Degree in Nursing or an equivalent Nurse Practitioner program is required, along with a minimum of one year of nursing experience. Candidates must possess specific South Carolina credentials, including Nurse Practitioner Prescriptive Authority, a South Carolina Nursing License, a South Carolina Controlled Substance license, and a Federal DEA license.
