The HIM Technician Specialist supports the Health Information Management department by accurately maintaining paper and electronic health records, adhering to policies and regulatory standards. Primary duties involve chart analysis, scanning, release of information processing, physician liaison, and data management within HIM systems.
A High School Diploma or GED is required, along with three years of experience in Health Information Management functions. Preferred qualifications include medical terminology training and one year of experience specifically in chart analysis.
