The Certified Nurse Midwife will function independently but in collaboration with the attending physician and healthcare team to provide midwifery services, covering assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care for antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, and newborn patients, as well as routine well woman health care. Responsibilities include providing services across various shifts in the Labor and Delivery, PET Unit, Birth Center, and Family Health Center/Women's Ambulatory Care.
Candidates must have graduated from an ACME-accredited nurse-midwifery education program and hold a Master's or doctoral degree. Current CDS, DEA, active CNM certification (or actively seeking initial certification), and active New Jersey licensure are required, along with current BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications.
Certified Nurse Midwife, Birthing Center Birthing Center The Certified Nurse Midwife, Birthing Center will: Saint Peter’s University Hospital is looking to hire a full-time Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM) for its growing midwifery practice. This position is ideal for an enthusiastic candidate who is looking to participate in a team-based model and values a variety of responsibilities.
Graduation from a nurse-midwifery education program accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Midwifery Education (ACME) (formerly known as the American College of Nurse-Midwives Division of Accreditation) Master's or doctoral degree Current CDS and DEA required Current active certification by the American Midwifery Certification Board or be actively seeking initial certification and obtain the same on the first certification for which they are eligible. Current active licensure to practice as a Certified Nurse Midwife in the nurse midwife category as per the New Jersey State Board of Medical Examiners. STABLE Program Certification preferred. Neonatal Resuscitation Provider (NRP) certified. Current BLS and ACLS certification from the American Heart Association. Neonatal Resuscitation Provider I (NRP) certification required, as approved by the American Heart Association. NRP II (Neonatal Resuscitation Provider II) certification to be obtained during clinical orientation.
The position is flexible but will entail a combination of day/night/weekend/holiday call and office hours. All shifts are in-house and include a 24-hour call and two office days. This may be adjusted depending on the needs of the team. Experience is preferred but not required. First Assist and Limited Ultrasonography experience preferred but not required, will offer on-site training.

In addition to base salary, some positions may be eligible for clinical certification pay and shift differentials. The salary range listed for exempt positions reflects full-time compensation and will be prorated based on employment status.
