The Dental Assistant supports dental professionals by preparing patients for treatment, handling instruments, sterilizing equipment, and taking radiographs. Key duties also include educating patients on oral health care and performing various laboratory and office tasks.
A high school diploma or equivalent is required, along with certification from an accredited dental assisting program; however, no prior experience is necessary as comprehensive training will be provided. Candidates must demonstrate strong behavioral maturity, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, high sensitivity to patient needs, and proficiency in computer use.
Reporting directly to the Lead Dental Assistant, the Dental Assistant plays a vital role in ensuring patient comfort and facilitating dental procedures. This position involves preparing patients for treatment, obtaining dental records, sterilizing instruments, and providing essential support to dental professionals.
