The physical therapist is responsible for helping patients maintain, restore, and improve movement, activity, and overall function. This includes providing necessary interventions, conducting reexaminations at least every 30 days, modifying interventions as needed, and performing discharge planning.
Candidates must possess a current physical therapy license specific to the assigned state and be a graduate of a CAPTE-accredited physical therapy educational program. A minimum of one year of related physical therapy experience is required for those entering home health care, though less experience may be acceptable with regional clinical leader approval and mentoring.
