This role involves assisting trauma surgeons with direct patient care, managing patient charts, and overseeing patient flow within the orthopaedics department. The position also includes performing delegated medical tasks and potentially clerical duties, utilizing electronic systems as required.
Candidates must have completed an accredited Medical Assistant Program and hold a current Medical Assistant certification from a recognized body. A minimum of five years of general medical assisting experience, plus two years of specialty experience, is required, along with current CPR certification.
Responsible for assisting trauma surgeons with patient care. Responsible for chart management and patient flow. Performs delegated medical tasks and may perform clerical duties. Where the electronic system is in use, this position will utilize the system as documented in the department and/or FPI standard operating procedures and processes, and perform other duties as assigned.
