This role involves coordinating anticoagulation therapy (Coumadin and Lovenox) for clinic patients by gathering provider instructions, monitoring lab results, and adjusting dosages according to protocol. The nurse also provides patient teaching, documents all treatment details, manages prescription refills, and coordinates temporary suspension of anticoagulation for procedures.
Candidates must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing and currently licensed as an RN or LPN in Massachusetts, holding a Basic Life Support Certification for Health Care Providers. Preferred qualifications include prior work experience and excellent knowledge in anticoagulation, alongside strong interpersonal, time management, and computer proficiency skills.
