Respiratory Therapist Emergency Department Float

• This position is primarily located at Miami Valley Hospital Main Campus but can float to Beavercreek ED, Jamestown ED, and Austin Landing ED.
• The Respiratory Therapist (RT II) functions in a skilled role that demonstrates professionalism and promotes excellence in the practice of respiratory care.
• The RT II is responsible for the respiratory assessment, therapeutic treatment, evaluation, testing, education, and communication for all patient populations served.
• The RT II will coordinate care with interdisciplinary team to promote excellent patient experience.
• The RT II is responsible for maintaining compliance with the Ohio Respiratory Care Laws, applicable regulatory standards, and institutional and system policies.

• Preferred educational qualifications: Bachelor’s degree §
• Position specific testing requirement: N/A Licensure/Certification/Registration · Valid Ohio Respiratory Care License · Valid Registered Respiratory Therapist Credential through NBRC (National Board for Respiratory Care) · BLS · ACLS · NRP certification required within 6 months of hire or based upon course availability · PALS certification required within 6 months of hire or based upon course availability
