The Milieu Counselor assists nursing staff in maintaining a therapeutic environment and providing individualized care to ensure patient safety and dignity. They collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to facilitate therapeutic groups and address patient and family needs.
An Associate's degree is required, while a Bachelor's degree is preferred. Candidates must have at least one year of experience in psychology or a related field working with specialized populations such as children, adolescents, or emotionally disturbed adults.

EDUCATION Associates degree required and Bachelor degree preferred EXPERIENCE Minimum one (1) year prior experience in Psychology and or related field, working with specialized populations such as emotionally disturbed adults, adolescents and or children and families. SPECIAL SKILLS Ability to work collaboratively in an interdisciplinary team to communicate and effectively deal with complex effectively charged situations and possess group facilitation and crisis management skills.
