The Research Program Coordinator will support the HOPE and Growing HOPE programs focused on reproductive, maternal, and child health through community-based doula care in NYC, handling research design, data collection, and dissemination activities. This role involves hands-on coordination, facilitation, and ensuring high-quality study implementation in compliance with IRB standards.
Candidates need a Master's degree in public health or a related field with some research administration experience, OR a Bachelor's degree plus three years of progressive research experience, including some research administration. A minimum of three years of experience in public health research coordination or study implementation is required, with familiarity in Queens, NYC context preferred.
The Research Program Coordinator will play a critical role in supporting the HOPE and Growing HOPE programs, which focus on advancing reproductive, maternal, and child health through community-based doula care in NYC.
This role will support research design, coordination, data collection, and dissemination activities while also assisting with outreach, partnership coordination, and the implementation of community-centered programming. This position focuses on hands-on coordination, facilitation, and research responsibilities by bridging research, program implementation, and community engagement. The coordinator will report directly to the Senior Program Manager and work closely with the research team to ensure high-quality implementation of the study in accordance with IRB and institutional standards.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, mission-driven, and committed to health equity, with experience in public health research and a strong interest in community-based, participatory approaches. This position is part-time with the possibility of transitioning to full-time and will continue as long as extramural funding is available.
