The Certified Pharmacy Technician II is responsible for drug distribution services, processing orders, preparing pharmaceutical doses, and performing clerical functions under pharmacist supervision. This role also includes maintaining inventory levels of pharmaceuticals on nursing units and in the pharmacy department through regular inspections.
Candidates must maintain required professional and hospital competencies for a State Certified Pharmacy Technician and assist with performance improvement activities. Essential requirements include current certification by the PTCB, registration with the SC Board of Pharmacy, graduation from an approved program, and basic computer/typing skills for pharmaceutical preparation and distribution.

Must also maintain the required professional and hospital competencies for a State Certified Pharmacy Technician and assist with performance improvement activities, as well as performing any other job related duties as requested by a pharmacist or pharmacy management.
Must be currently certified by the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB), and registered in good standing as a "State Certified Pharmacy Technician" with the SC Board of Pharmacy, (This requires being a graduate of an approved Pharmacy Technician program and by having submitted documentation for their required number of work experience hours as a pharmacy technician or having met requirements to be grandfathered in by 2004). Must have basic typing skills and a working knowledge of computers and equipment utilized in the preparation, repackaging, dispensing and distribution of pharmaceutical products.
