The Physician will conduct patient assessments, diagnose medical conditions, and develop/implement treatment plans according to established protocols. This role also involves communicating with patients/families, maintaining medical records, and potentially participating in the training of medical students and residents.
Candidates must possess a Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree, be board certified or eligible in Pediatrics, and hold an unrestricted Medical License in the State of Ohio. Prior clinical practice experience may be required based on division needs.
Nationwide Children's Hospital is seeking a board eligible/ board certified Pediatrician for community practice, Muskingum Valley Health Centers in Cambridge, Ohio. The providers of MVHC Cambridge have been serving the community since 2008. The office is currently open Monday thru Friday. Providers rotate taking call from home. MVHC was recognized as a National Quality Leader in Maternal and Child Health. To achieve this recognition, health centers must meet or exceed national benchmarks. MVHC was among 16 health centers nationwide who received this award and was the only recipient in the state of Ohio. Cambridge is a city in, and the county seat of, Guernsey County, Ohio. It lies in southeastern Ohio, in the Appalachian Plateau of the Appalachian Mountains and is about 75 miles east of Columbus.
Summary: Provides medical care and treatment to patients.
Essential Functions: Conducts patient assessments and diagnoses medical conditions. Develops and implements treatment plans for patients in accordance with established protocols. Monitors patient progress and adjusts treatment plans as necessary. Orders and interprets diagnostic tests to aid in patient diagnosis and treatment. Communicates with patients and their families to provide education and support. Maintains accurate and up-to-date medical records for each patient and coordinates care with other healthcare professionals. Participates in the training and education of medical students, residents, and fellows as required. Stays up-to-date with medical advancements and research to provide the best possible care. Education Requirement: Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine equivalent, required. Graduate of an approved Fellowship program if applicable, required. Licensure Requirement: Medical License in the State of Ohio, required. Unrestricted licensed physician, required.
Board Certification or eligibility in Pediatrics, required.
