The Psychiatrist will provide professional psychiatric services to enrolled Veterans Affairs patients, including treatment for general psychiatric disorders across various settings, and will act as a collaborating physician for onsite advanced practitioners. Key duties involve developing and implementing treatment plans, monitoring patient progress, facilitating counseling sessions, and coordinating care with community programs and other healthcare professionals.
Candidates must possess a Doctorate Degree in Medicine or Osteopathy and have successfully completed an accredited residency program in general psychiatry. Essential requirements include an active, unrestricted medical license in Kentucky, Board Certification or eligibility in Psychiatry, and current DEA and CPR/BLS certifications.
STGi is currently seeking a Psychiatrist to provide services at our Community Based Outpatient Clinic.
The general duty of the Psychiatrist is to provide covered professional psychiatric services to enrolled patients of the Veterans Affairs Medical Center (VAMC) in accordance with the terms and conditions of the Veteran Affairs Mental Health Program, and to act as a collaborating physician for the onsite Psychiatric Mental Health Advanced Practitioner(s).
