The Registered Nurse will perform a full range of nursing duties including patient assessment, triage, and execution of physicians' orders. They will also provide patient education and emotional support while ensuring a safe environment.
Candidates must possess an Associate's Degree in Nursing and hold an active RN license. Additionally, they should have at least two years of experience in a multi-service medical/surgical ward and relevant certifications such as BLS, ACLS, and PALS.
Perform a full range of RN duties in accordance with assignment under the task order, including: triage; patient assessment and monitoring; use of patient monitoring and treatment equipment; appropriate nursing care, procedures, and treatments; execution of physicians’ orders within the guidelines of standard nursing practice; documentation of patient care and observations; and patient education and emotional support. Assess each patient and perform triage duties as assigned. Formulate and carry out a goal directed plan of care which is based on determined nursing diagnosis and patient outcomes and which is prioritized according to patient needs and available resources including time, personnel, equipment, and supplies. Evaluate effectiveness of self-care given by all health team members, and contribution of systems, environment, and instrumentation in progressing patient toward outcomes. Provide treatment and discharge instructions upon patient release. Perform assessment/data collection in an ongoing and systematic manner, focusing on physiological, psychological, and cognitive status. Provide a safe and clean environment for each patient. Ensure areas are stocked and properly equipped. Identify patient/significant other learning needs and implement appropriate measures to meet identified needs. Assist in planning, provide clinical direction, and provide instruction to LPNs/LVNs, nursing assistants and ancillary personnel. Precepting duties shall include mentoring, educating on hospital and unit policies and procedures, clinical bedside education, providing weekly input by documenting, updating, and providing feedback to the preceptee and chain of command as applicable. Patient care on this unit will include care of the adult or pediatric patient on continuous cardiac telemetry monitoring, according to established standards. QualificationsQualifications: Degree/Education: Associates Degree of Nursing and in lieu of graduation from an ACEN or CCNE Accredited program, graduate from a State Board of Nursing or accredited nursing program Certifications: Basic Life Support Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification. Possess and maintain Pediatric Advance Life Support (PALS) certification. Prior to commencing service under this contract, Contractor nurses shall attend a 2-hour lecture on IV certification.
