The Medical Assistant will be directly involved in patient-focused care by greeting patients, obtaining histories and vital signs, and assisting with examinations, procedures, and treatments in a dermatology setting. Responsibilities also include maintaining room readiness, sterilizing instruments, and performing administrative tasks like scheduling and managing reports, with potential cross-training in scribing.
Candidates must be a Certified Medical Assistant or willing to train for an RMA, possess CPR certification or be willing to obtain it, and demonstrate strong motivation and teamwork skills for a fast-paced environment. Previous dermatology experience and one year of Medical Assistant experience are preferred, along with proficiency in basic office skills and medical terminology.

Exceptional attention to maintaining a clean and safe environment by sterilizing medical instruments, sanitizing exam rooms and work stations is essential to this position. You can plan on some administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and procedures for patients, managing necessary documents for pathology reports and communication with providers.
Once you are trained on the fundamentals of your position, you will be cross trained and learn how to scribe. This has been an exciting addition to our medical assistant duties. If you have scribing experience please let us know during your interview.

Graduated and received certification from an accredited educational institution or willingness to learn and demonstrate skills needed for us to apply for an RMA on your behalf CPR certification, or willing to complete upon hiring Previous experience in Dermatology is preferred, but not required A highly motivated and self starting team player Ability to work in a fast-paced environment A desire to continuously learn and work well on a team
Standard medical exam/office equipment.
Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds of supplies and sit for long stretches of time.
