The nursing assistant will provide essential personal care services to hospice patients according to the plan of care, including hygiene assistance, nutritional support, and comfort measures. Responsibilities also involve safely transferring patients, taking vital signs, and completing timely charting for team reporting.
Candidates must possess at least one year of patient care experience in a healthcare setting, with hospice or home health experience being preferred. Required certifications include registration as a Certified Nursing Assistant in both North Dakota and Minnesota, along with a valid driver's license and auto insurance.
Seeking a CNA for the Fargo area and surrounding communities. As a nursing assistant to HIA Hospice, formerly Hospice of the Red River Valley, this person would be a vital member of the Interdisciplinary team (IDG). We are seeking a motivated person with initiative to learn, dependable and a team player. This nursing assistant would be responsible to provide personal care services to hospice patients as directed by the patient’s plan of care. These services include personal hygiene care, assisting with nutritional needs, providing comfort care and other assistance needed. Safely transferring patients, taking vital signs and complete charting in appropriate time to ensure the team receives complete reporting. This position is Monday - Friday 7am-3:30pm, every 4th weekend, and 2 holidays per year. This is a full-time, benefit eligible position. Work within the nursing assistant job scope in order to meet the requirements of applicable federal, state and local regulatory agencies.
