The Occupational Therapist evaluates clients, designs and administers treatment programs according to physician orders, and provides necessary education to patients and caregivers in the home setting. Key duties include maintaining comprehensive clinical documentation, coordinating care with physicians and other disciplines, and supervising supporting personnel like Aides and COTAs.
Candidates must possess a Bachelor of Science degree in Occupational Therapy, Kansas licensure as an Occupational Therapist, a valid Kansas Driver’s License with auto insurance, and current BLS Certification. Preferred experience includes one year as an Occupational Therapist, especially within Home Health, Hospice, or Long-Term Care.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Must have good verbal and written communication skills, manual dexterity, possess skills in analytical thinking and planning, ability to drive and organizational skills. Knowledge and competence in working with infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adult and geriatric clients. Must provide own car or have means of transportation in order to complete services.
Bachelor of Science degree in Occupational Therapy.
