The Dental Assistant is responsible for assisting the dentist to gain patient commitment for optimal treatment and maintaining a clean, sterile, and cheerful environment for patients. Duties also include completing x-rays and intra-oral pictures as directed by the dentist.
The role requires the ability to act as both a patient and clinician advocate while ensuring strict compliance with various regulations including OSHA, HIPAA, and ADA guidelines. The assistant must be capable of sterilizing instruments and equipment according to guidelines.
