The technologist provides quality patient care by performing diagnostic imaging procedures to demonstrate anatomy for interpretation or intervention, while strictly adhering to radiation safety principles. Essential functions include exercising professional judgment, assessing patient needs, positioning patients and equipment, and ensuring high-quality images are acquired and documented.
Candidates must be graduates of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology or Nuclear Medicine Technology and maintain current AHA BLS/Healthcare Provider certification along with Florida state licensure. Additional requirements include specific ARRT or NMTCB certifications and demonstrated proficiency in advanced imaging, contrast administration, and potentially serving as a site proctor.
