Speech Pathologist (Home Health)

• Job Summary: Provides speech therapy services to patients with speech, language or swallowing disorders.
• Job Requirements: Education and Work Experience: Master's Degree or foreign equivalent: Required Licenses/Certifications: Speech Pathologist licensure in the state of practice: Required Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy: Required American Speech-Language and Hearing Association (ASHA) Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC): Preferred Valid Driver's License (DL) and must be at least 21 years of age or older: Required Facility Specific License/Certifications: AHA-BLS or ARC-BLS or AHA-CPR or ARC-CPR: Required OR-SLP: Required WA-SLP: Required Essential Functions: Assesses and documents speech therapy data related to patient assessments, patient care needs, interventions and outcomes.
• Identifies changes and trends throughout physical and emotional parameters.
• Reviews treatment plans and assesses individual performances to modify, change or write new programs.
• Maintains documentation as required by law, establishment policy and administrative regulation.
• Instructs patients on ways to monitor speech and practice new skills.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
