The technologist operates specialized equipment to aid in the diagnosis and assessment of patient conditions, while also preparing, measuring, and administering radiopharmaceuticals for diagnostic studies. Responsibilities include performing quality control testing, assisting patients through the flow process, and executing SPECT and planar scans as requested.
Candidates must possess an Associate's Degree and approximately two years of experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist, CT Technologist, and in performing PET QA/QC. Required credentials include a current New York State License in Radiographic Technology (N), ARRT (N) or CNMT CT certification, and BLS certification.

Under general guidance, operates specialized equipment to assist in the safe and efficient diagnosis and assessment of patient conditions, in accordance with established procedures This role also prepares, measures and administers radiopharmaceuticals in diagnostic studies.
Approximately 2 years of experience as a nuclear medicine technologist.
Approximately 2 years of experience as a CT technologist.
Approximately 2 years of experience in performing PET QA/QC and working with physicists to maintain logs, identify problems, etc
This position requires the occasional lifting of equipment and patients; Must be able to work flexible hours and possible weekends.
