The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) is responsible for rendering individualized patient care according to dependent and independent nursing functions, adhering to established standards and techniques. Essential duties include utilizing nursing skills for basic preventative, therapeutic, and rehabilitative care, and accurately administering medication while observing patient responses.
Candidates must be able to perform essential duties satisfactorily, which involves utilizing nursing knowledge for patient care and coordinating communication among patients, staff, and physicians. Physical requirements include frequent lifting, bending, stretching, and maintaining visual and hearing acuity, as well as the ability to work with ill and elderly residents.
