The Registered Nurse provides professional nursing care within the Emergency Department to patients across all age groups, coordinating care planning with other disciplines and delivering direct and indirect patient care. This role requires the ability to safely, rapidly, and accurately triage every patient, determine priorities based on physical and psychosocial needs, and communicate changes in patient status to physicians.
Candidates must have a minimum of an Associate Degree in Nursing, with a Bachelor's Degree preferred, and hold a current New Jersey State Registered Nurse license. Required certifications include BLS, ACLS, and PALS and/or ENPC within one year of hire, along with mandatory basic trauma assessment education every two years.
