The Clinical Responder will assess children in need of emergency restraint and seclusions, conduct intakes, and assist campus supervisors with milieu management tasks. The position requires availability to respond to emergencies and may involve evening, weekend, and shift work.
A master's degree in psychology, sociology, education, or a related human services field is required, or a licensed RN. Candidates must be a Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP) as determined by the Oregon Administrative Rules.

The Clinical Responder is responsible for assessing children in need of emergency restraint and seclusions, conducting intakes, and assisting campus supervisors with milieu management tasks, as necessary. Position may require evening, weekend, and shift work and requires availability to respond to emergencies.
Assesses risk and safety issues as they relate to milieu programming, acuity of clients, staffing and environmental conditions; is able to order for restraints or seclusion that extends beyond the age/time limits must be received from the doctor by the QMHP.
Perform intensive crisis interventions, leads, collaborates with, and directs staff during interventions, conducts assessment of suicide and homicide risk and creates safety plans as appropriate.
Conducts face to face assessments of the physical and psychological well-being of clients within one hour of the initiation of the emergency safety intervention.
Supports milieu operations by participating in management of critical incidents, debriefs of incidents with staff and clients. Engages with milieu leadership in assessing use of skills, techniques, and milieu management.

Please be advised that the pay range listed for this position is intended to provide general guidance on the earning potential for the role. However, actual compensation will be determined in accordance with the Oregon Equal Pay Law and will take into account factors such as the candidate's relevant experience and education. Candidates should expect that initial offers will be made within the listed pay range and may not be at or near the top of the range.
