The Speech and Language Pathologist evaluates and treats patients for deficits in speech, language, hearing, swallowing, and cognition to improve independence and quality of life, while participating as a member of the interdisciplinary team. Responsibilities include conducting functional assessments, developing individualized treatment plans, documenting progress, and orienting patients and families to procedures.
Candidates must possess a Master of Science degree in Speech/Language Pathology and hold the current license/certification required for the state of practice. A minimum of one year of experience in geriatric rehabilitation is preferred, and applicants must meet the educational and experience requirements for ASHA's Certificate of Clinical Competence.
Description Vertis Therapy is looking for a passionate Speech Language Pathologist for consistent PRN hours at our beautiful Assisted Living and Independent Living Facility in Plant City, FL. This position provides for flexibility with scheduling. Vertis therapy is a therapist-owned and operated company that focuses on providing patient-centered care.

Master of Science degree in Speech/Language Pathology. Current license/certification in the state of practice. Prefer minimum one (1) year experience in geriatric rehabilitation. Must meet the educational requirements for certification and be in the process of accumulating the supervised experience or meet the education and experience requirements for a Certificate of Clinical Competence in speech-language pathology granted by the American Speech-Language Hearing Association. Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills. Adequate computer skills in order to complete required job duties and computerized documentation. Demonstrated competency in applying principles, methods, materials and equipment used in speech therapy. Demonstrated competency in applying the principles, methods, materials and equipment used in speech therapy. Knowledge of accreditation standards and compliance requirements.
