The primary responsibility involves identifying the appropriate assignment of ICD-10 CM, ICD-10-PCS, DRG, and abstraction for facility services while strictly adhering to official and client coding guidelines. This includes abstracting additional data elements during chart review and querying physicians when necessary to maintain coding quality and productivity standards.
Candidates must possess a High School Diploma/GED and maintain a professional coder certification from AHIMA and/or AAPC, requiring at least three years of experience in inpatient DRG coding within an acute care setting using ICD-10-CM, ICD-10-PCS, and DRG systems. Proficiency with Windows, Microsoft Excel, and EMR systems is also mandatory.
High School Diploma/GED (or higher) Professional coder certification with credentialing from AHIMA and/or AAPC (CCA, CCS, RHIA, RHIT, CPC-H/COC, CIC, CCS-P, CPC) to be maintained annually 3+ years of experience with inpatient DRG coding in an acute care facility setting 3+ years of experience with ICD-10-CM, ICD-10-PCS, and DRG coding utilizing an encoder Intermediate level of proficiency working with a PC in a Windows environment, including Microsoft Excel (create and edit spreadsheets) and various EMR systems with ease

The hourly pay for this role will range from $23.41 to $41.83 per hour based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
