The Medical Technologist will perform various technical tasks across the Blood Bank, Chemistry, Hematology, and Microbiology departments, including crossmatching, operating instrumentation, and processing specimens. Key duties involve applying problem-solving skills to antibody challenges and ensuring proper product release criteria are met in the Blood Bank.
Candidates must possess a minimum of a BS degree and specialized training to achieve Medical Technologist certification and Clinical Laboratory Scientist licensure. Familiarity with medical terminology is mandatory, and basic computer literacy is required, with experience in Windows applications being preferred.

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Medical Technologist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of technical tasks and procedures in the Blood Bank, Chemistry, Hematology, and Microbiology departments. Key Responsibilities: Blood Bank: Perform crossmatching techniques. Apply problem-solving skills and judgment in dealing with antibody challenges. Understand the indications for transfusion and ensure proper action before releasing products that do not meet criteria. Demonstrate knowledge of Quality Systems for good blood bank practices. Chemistry and Hematology: Operate and maintain laboratory instrumentation. Apply knowledge of Quality Control processes. Maintain competency and assist the Core Lab Supervisor with additional tasks.
