As a Physical Therapist, the role involves conducting comprehensive patient evaluations, developing individualized treatment plans, and delivering skilled therapeutic interventions to maximize functional outcomes in an inpatient rehabilitation setting. Responsibilities also include educating patients and families on self-management techniques for continued progress post-discharge.
Candidates must possess a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited program and hold a current Physical Therapy license in the practicing state, along with a current BLS certification. Two years of Inpatient Rehabilitation experience is preferred, alongside strong clinical reasoning and excellent interpersonal skills.
As a Physical Therapist, you will play a vital part in our interdisciplinary team, providing high-quality, patient-centered care to individuals recovering from a variety of illnesses and injuries. You will conduct comprehensive patient evaluations, develop individualized treatment plans, and deliver skilled therapeutic interventions to maximize functional outcomes. You will also educate patients and their families on self-management techniques to ensure continued progress after discharge.
(PRN) - Inpatient Rehabilitation Hospital Conduct thorough patient evaluations, including physical examinations, range of motion testing, gait analysis, and assessments of strength, coordination, and balance. Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized treatment plans focused on maximizing functional independence. Utilize a variety of therapeutic techniques, including manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, gait training, and modalities, to address each patient's specific needs. Educate and train patients and families on therapeutic exercises, assistive devices, and safe home management strategies. Continuously monitor patient progress, measure outcomes, and modify treatment plans as needed. Document treatment sessions accurately and maintain detailed patient records. Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and collaborate effectively with nurses, social workers, and other healthcare professionals. Maintain a positive and professional demeanor, fostering a supportive and encouraging environment for patients.
Licenses or Certifications Current license to practice professional Physical Therapy in the state where currently practicing. Current BLS required via the American Heart Association or American Red Cross (required).
