The Respiratory Therapist performs respiratory care procedures as defined by Ohio Revised Code, maintaining ongoing communication between care professionals, physicians, and other staff to ensure continuity of care. Responsibilities include assessing patients, planning and evaluating care, instructing patients/families, documenting care, and responding to all emergent and critical patients to maintain airway and breathing.
Candidates must possess an Ohio Licensed Respiratory Care Professional certification and be a Registered Respiratory Therapist, along with holding BLS and Code Pink certifications (Code Pink obtainable within three months of hire). A minimum of six months of experience in an acute care hospital is required, along with excellent communication skills and the ability to build cooperative relationships with healthcare professionals.
