The technologist performs imaging procedures under the direction of a Radiologist, utilizing magnetic fields to produce quality MRI images for diagnosis or intervention. This role requires independent judgment and initiative to apply prescribed radiofrequency beams for technical procedures.
Candidates must possess either ARRT (R) certification along with an active Florida CRT license, or a graduate certification from ARMRIT. Basic Life Support/CPR certification is also required for employment screening.
Under the direction of a Radiologist, performs imaging procedures at a technical level not requiring constant supervision of technical detail. Performs a variety of technical procedures that require independent judgment with ingenuity and initiative to apply prescribed ionizing radiation or prescribed radiofrequency beams for radiologic diagnosis and / or intervention and utilize magnetic fields to produce quality MRI imaging . Assumes responsibility for designated areas or procedures as required.
