include trauma response in the Emergency Department, rounding in the Surgical Trauma ICU and hospital floors, and seeing patients in the general surgery and trauma acute care outpatient clinic. The PA-C will also provide Surgical First Assist in the operating room for various surgical cases and perform procedures like chest tube and line placement/removal.
Candidates must possess current NCCPA or ANCC certification and an active Florida license by the time of hire, along with a minimum of two years of current Critical Care APP experience. Specific educational backgrounds for PA-C, Acute Care NP, or Adult/Family NP are detailed, requiring significant acute care inpatient encounter experience over the last four years.
Current NCCPA or ANCC certification required and must also have an active license by the State of Florida by the time of hire. Board Certified Physician Assistant, Board Certified Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner who has active, relevant and routine experience in 2 of the last 4 years (defined as at least 500 acute care inpatient encounters over two years). Board Certified Adult/Family Nurse Practitioner, who has active, relevant, and routine experience in 2 of the last 4 years (defined as at least 1,000 acute care inpatient encounters over two years).BLS required. Two (2) years of current Critical Care APP experience required for consideration. The PA IV Trauma is highly specialized in trauma services protocol. Typically works in multidisciplinary settings and units managing patient care. A PA is a graduate with a master's degree or certificate from an accredited physician assistant program at an accredited school or college. The PA functions as part of the multidisciplinary health team in accordance with privileges approved by the credentialing committee to provide high-quality, cost-effective advanced care to patients. The PA is licensed by the Florida Board of Medicine and the Board of Osteopathic Medicine to perform medical services delegated by the supervising physician(s).
