This contingent/PRN/on-call role involves providing evidence-based diagnostic audiology evaluations to determine the type and degree of hearing sensitivity in patients with varied medical complexity. Essential functions also include recommending appropriate follow-up care, educating caregivers, and managing administrative tasks like scheduling and documentation.
A Doctorate of Audiology or equivalent education and experience is required, along with a valid Ohio License in Audiology and current CPR certification. Previous pediatric audiology experience is preferred, and while the Certificate of Clinical Competency from ASHA or ABA is preferred, it is not mandatory.

Essential Functions: Provides evidence-based diagnostic evaluations to patients with varied medical complexity to determine type and degree of hearing sensitivity. Recommends appropriate follow-up care, including personal equipment technology, and makes appropriate referrals to ensure a comprehensive care plan. Educates parents and caregivers on the impact of hearing loss and importance of compliance with recommendations. Performs the administrative functions of individual caseload, including scheduling, entering daily charges, and submitting timely documentation. Ensures accuracy and compliance of documentation. Attends continuing education programs and participates in departmental in-service training programs to enhance professional development. Conducts audiology educational programs and supervision for hospital staff, students, licensed audiologists, audiology aides, and unlicensed personnel. Education Requirement: Doctorate of Audiology, or equivalent education and experience, required. Licensure Requirement: Valid Ohio License in Audiology, required.
Certificate of Clinical Competency from the American Speech Language Hearing Association or American Board of Audiology certification from the American Academy of Audiology, preferred. CPR certification, required. Must be received no later than 60 days post hire or 60 days post expiration.
