This role involves being a team member of nursing services, participating in healthcare delivery, and assisting Medical Providers with direct patient care, treatments, procedures, and emergencies. Responsibilities also include maintaining clinical documentation, following lab procedures, managing supplies, and adhering to all relevant policies and procedures.
Candidates must be a graduate of a Medical Assistant program and possess current B.L.S. with CPR certification for Healthcare Providers. One year of medical assisting experience is desired, and while not strictly required, current certification or registration through recognized credentialing organizations is preferred.

Adhere to the guidelines and procedures of Pueblo Community Health Center, Inc. Follow scheduling procedures for providers. Follow clinical workflows and documentation for MAs and providers within electronic patient charts. Assist a Medical Provider in providing direct patient care as needed, including treatments, procedures, and emergencies. Access, use and update clinical data from various outside agencies. Follow clinical lab procedures including Point of Care Testing. Maintain compliance with vaccine storage, handling and administration policy and procedure. Maintain compliance with all Nursing and Infection Control Policies and Procedures at all clinical sites. Utilize case Management programs (EIS, Breast Health, Colorectal Cancer screening, Pediatric, adolescent, and geriatric immunizations) and standing orders associated with them. Maintain stock and supplies in exam rooms per policy and procedure. Manage daily workflows to ensure timely completion of daily tasks. Adhere to Nursing policies and procedures Provide nursing/medical assistant health care services appropriate to the age-specific needs of all patients in accordance with the principles of growth and development for infant, child, adolescent, adult, and geriatric life cycles. Ensure all clinical information is entered into and maintained within patient record May perform phlebotomy at satellite clinics. Adhere to the Infection Control Policies and Procedures. Assist in the training of student externs and/or new Medical Assistant staff. Maintain current licensure and CPR certification. Perform other related duties as assigned. Perform duties specific to assignment at a satellite clinic per policy and procedure. Follow safety and security practices implemented at PCHC. Maintain patient confidentiality. Assist with accurate and timely completion of time and attendance activities. Follow organization and departmental call off procedure.
