The Physical Therapist Assistant implements the plan of care established by the Registered Physical Therapist and physician, which includes screening residents quarterly to identify functional declines and carrying out prescribed treatment programs. Responsibilities also involve monitoring progress, assisting with re-assessments and discharge planning, supervising aides, and educating staff and family members.
Candidates must possess an Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program and hold active state licensure and necessary certifications as established by state and national boards. Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills are required, along with working knowledge of company policies and clinical programs.
