The Grossing Technician is responsible for maintaining laboratory supplies, equipment, and instruments while providing administrative support for daily lab operations. Key duties include grossly assessing dermatologic tissues, recording descriptions, inking, sectioning, and potentially performing gross dissections under supervision.
Candidates need a Bachelor's degree in a chemical, physical, or biological laboratory science, or medical technology, or 60 semester hours of coursework including specific science credits. A minimum of 1–2 years of laboratory experience is preferred, along with maintaining competency in Anatomic Pathology dissection techniques.
