include assessing patients' nutritional needs, developing and implementing dietary plans, and providing education on healthy eating habits, alongside instructing patients on post-discharge diets and monitoring their nutritional status. The role also requires communicating with physicians and other disciplines, evaluating referral orders, and documenting pertinent information in patient medical records.
Candidates must be registered by the Commission on Dietetic Registration of the American Dietetic Association and hold state licensure, with a Bachelor's or advanced degree in Food & Nutrition required. One year of Clinical Dietetics experience is preferred, and membership in the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics is desired.
